watched jessica flint's school of recovery: secret session video 1 about binge eating disorder recovery. it was very insightful and one of the most helpful videos i've ever come across! it really gives you an action plan you can follow and constructive criticism, something that is straightforward and easy to follow. it directly targets the rules and extremely sensitive, subconscious effects of BED that need to be addressed in order for recovery to happen. i'm really glad i came across this for free and i can't wait for the rest of the videos in the series :-)

went to watch a friend's performance with another friend and after that, we went to a burger place to eat and and chat! it was a really chill day and i'm glad to have been there for a friend's success and growth in life.

Go to the symphony.

my senior graduated from the armed forces band training so i went with another senior to watch his concert! as part of the audience i'd say they played really well, but to them they had played poorly apparently. i'm so happy for his improvement, watching your friends grow and flourish is such a wholesome experience. it also made me miss playing in a band as well, sucks that there are no more chances to do so.

Mail someone a birthday or greeting card.

made some of my classmates farewell cards because it's graduation day today! a nice break from school finally and it felt good to give and receive gifts from people you really appreciate in your life :-) it's a reminder that people care for you even if you didn't think so! some of my friends even baked cookies to give out and i felt loved today

Accept one of your faults and work to improve it.

trying yet again to overcome an eating disorder, i keep becoming apathetic about it and letting it control me because i have little motivation to overcome it. but recently i came across videos on youtube by binge eaters as well and it made me want to improve myself so i'm attempting to try again and really put effort into recovery. starting today, i'm going to keep track of all the food i eat in a notebook. hopefully it'll be beneficial because it will provide concrete evidence of whatever i'm consuming and it won't be something i can easily pretend never happened the next day. i feel like it's a more official way of recording it rather than on an app because it forces me to internalise whatever i write down and view my daily intake as a whole instead of updating meal by meal and only seeing the food that i've currently eaten. i really want to continue this in the long run and not forget about it like all the other times. i also re-downloaded a recovery app, mainly for training myself to be mindful when eating and tracking my behaviour over time rather than recording food intake :-)

while watching one of the videos, the youtuber also mentioned having a support system and it made me wonder how long i'm going to keep this from my friends :-/ i've only told two of my old friends, whom i rarely see anymore. in 3 days time, i'm going to be graduating from school and next year i may be going overseas to attend university. when will i have the chance and the courage to tell them? if i don't before i head overseas, i may never see them again for another 3 years and it's such a long time, everyone may have changed. it's been tough struggling through majority of this alone, but i don't know if my friends are prepared to learn about this side of me, or if i'm prepared to let them find out about this. i'm not comfortable being vulnerable in front of others although i crave it, i crave for release and understanding and care. but at the same time i'm scared of confrontation and their reactions, the possibility that they may not care as much as i hope for them to and the possibility that this may affect our friendship, them finding out that through the 4-6 years they've known me, half of the time i had depression and the other half i had an eating disorder, that i wasn't truly myself. what if i turn out to be different from what they expect me to be? what if this makes things awkward between us? i'm afraid to lose friends because i'm already incredibly alone in life.

bought a sweater in a bold blue colour for $5 and i like it! besides the fact that it's probably 5 sizes too big for me. i couldn't really picture how big it was even with the measurements, now i don't know if i'll ever wear it 😂
