Told a colleague about a horrific night terror I had last night, which started me waking up to find my wife dead, ending in a rotted, wooden room with an IV drip & bed set up, with the IV attached to something looking like a grey, emaciated form of my wife, with almost no legs & holdig a vice on her head which had opened her mouth into a scream look so large I could only see the face. The middle bit was not much more fun. Bad way to wake up.

Offer help to someone who could use it.

Helped a colleagure realise a failed date last night was not so Mr. Wonderful as expected. How someone can switch from a nice guy to a perverted racist over a rejection which he started in the first place was surprising, but sadly not unique. On the positive side, she has a great date tonight with a decent guy. On a funny note, I dropped her off home & she went in for a hug & kiss before realising she was thinking too much about the date tonight & got confused! I backed away, but when she explained made a joke about how the heck I can explain that to my wife! It's odd when people get absent-minded over things, which I've done a few times ... not what she did, I mean, but confused reality with a day dream & do something silly!

Make a change to your daily routine.

Just to make sure I keep on top of my health, I'm now having a small glass of water whenever I feel I want a snack, just incase I mistake thirst for hunger. I'm still doing well, & lost another 1lb this week, so all going steady & well. Apparently 1 or 2lbs a week is recommended for permanent weight loss. I was more interested about what 1lb of fat looked like. Well, here it is. 😆

7.5km ran! The last couple of times I ran, I felt I could do it, but was more conscious of not injuring myself again, so was cautious. But achieved it today! This was taken on the final lap.

Spend the day with friends or family.

Out & about in Ely! A successful overall shopping visit with a new coat, top & trousers. Plus, the lady in the marketplace who sells doughnuts & Schmoo recognises me constantly. I must be the only one who buys chocolate milkshakes from her!

The Jubilee Gardens in Ely. Opened in 2002 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee. Quite a nice, small park to amble through!

Take some photos of interesting architecture.

Ely Cathedral, & in particular the Octagon tower. The cathedral's earliest incarnation dates back to 672 AD, but this unique & celebrated Octagon tower was actually the result of a fixer-upper, when in 1322 the original tower being built collapsed, & in the wake of the disaster they decided to fix the issue of the remains by making it octagonal in design.
